Do you want to nurture your kids' hearts and minds, and encourage your spiritual life at the same time?

Want to foster curiosity and creativity WITHOUT spending hours scouring Pinterest and prepping elaborate activities?

Welcome to Faith STEMS!

Growing Faith...

You've heard of STEM (or STEAM) education, right? Science, Technology, Engineering, (sometimes Art), and Math? I'm taking STEM education and adding Faith to the front and an S to the back. The S stands for Scripture - as in the BIBLE - God's written Word to us. Because who created STEM principles in the first place? GOD!!!!

Faith STEMS lessons are:

  • Bible centered
  • Hands-on
  • Curiosity driven
  • Low prep
  • Video based

Blessing Hearts...

Faith STEMS won't only teach your kids STEM and Bible principles. They will bless your adult heart, too! Listen. I love teaching kids. But I also really love encouraging their parents. What better way to bless you than to encourage you and your kids at the same time?

Hi, I'm Melissa!

My name is Melissa Ens and I am a teacher, tutor, and women's ministries leader from Fresno, California. I love learning and teaching about reading and math, but most of all, I LOVE studying and teaching the Bible. (So much that I decided to learn how to read Greek - just for fun and so I could understand the Bible even better. (Yeah, I'm bit of a Word nerd!)

My second favorite subject is SCIENCE. I love wondering about why things work and grow and interact the way they do, and I think curiosity is a gift from God that He invites us to use to explore the world He created. I also believe that just about everything God has made can teach us some kind of spiritual truth. Whether it's the seasons and how they mirror the seasons we go through in life, or seeds growing to produce fruit like simple acts of faith, I think God has hidden lessons all around us and that He loves when we find them.

Putting Scripture and Science together in Faith STEMS lessons is a dream come true for me! I can't wait to explore the world around us and the Word of God with you. Let's go!
